🦋When a Small Moment Becomes the Whole Message🦋
There are days when I go somewhere thinking it’s just about selling my handmade pieces—my resin earrings, bookmarks, and little creations I’ve poured time and love into.
But then something happens that reminds me it’s never just about that.
Yesterday at the flea market started slow. I mean really slow. No early rush, no crowd, just me sitting there with my tables set up wondering how the day would unfold.
And then a gentleman walked by.
He stopped at my table, looked at everything, and just began admiring it. He told me how beautiful it was and asked if I really made it all myself. There was such sincerity in his voice. Not rushed. Not transactional. Just genuine appreciation.
We started talking, and I happened to have a few scripture bracelets on my arm. I wasn’t even selling them—they were just something I had ordered and was wearing that day.
He asked about them, and I offered him one. I asked which color he liked, and he chose white. I took it off my own wrist and gave it to him.
When he realized it had scripture on it, he lit up. You could see it on his face. He read it, smiled, and thanked me like I had given him something far bigger than a bracelet. Then he walked away holding it like it mattered.
And that moment stayed with me all day.
Because it wasn’t about selling.
It was about connection.
It reminded me of something I’ve always known deep down—sometimes the smallest things we give away carry the biggest meaning. A kind word. A handwritten note. A simple reminder that someone is seen.
I’ve been in seasons where I needed those reminders myself. That’s actually why I started writing little encouragement notes years ago when I spent so much time in doctor’s offices. I would fill a jar with scriptures and uplifting messages and invite people to “stick their hand in and see what they get.”
And more times than I can count, someone would pull one out and say, “This is exactly what I needed today.”
That’s what I’m really doing with my work—whether it’s resin pieces, encouragement notes, or simple handmade gifts.
I’m not just creating things.
I’m sharing moments of light.
And I’ve learned something important: you don’t always have to change someone’s whole life to make a difference. Sometimes it’s just about making one person smile in a day.
If I can do that, then my day is complete.
So I’ll keep showing up, keep creating, and keep trusting that the right people will find what they need when they stop by my table.
Because sometimes what looks like “just a bracelet” is really a reminder that someone is not alone.
And that matters more than anything.

Reflective Questions
- Where in my life am I beginning to notice new patterns replacing old survival patterns?
- What small moments recently have reminded me that I’m growing into the person I used to hope I could become?
- How can I continue choosing peace and presence instead of old ways of reacting or shutting down?
🙏 Short Prayer
God, thank You for the quiet work You do in our lives that we don’t always notice right away. Thank You for growth that comes slowly, gently, and sometimes after seasons that felt heavy or confusing. Help us recognize the new patterns You are building in us, and give us courage to keep stepping forward in peace and trust. Remind us that we are not who we were in our hardest seasons, and that healing is still unfolding.~ Amen. đź’›
