👠You’re Not Missing Them — You’re Detoxing👠 There’s a kind of attachment that doesn’t feel like love. It feels like anxiety. Like urgency. Like you can’t breathe unless you hear from them. That isn’t your heart failing you. That’s your nervous system t...

I didn’t plan to leave him on my 50th birthday. I didn’t plan to check into a domestic violence shelter. I didn’t plan to be diagnosed with multiple autoimmune disorders after losing over 100 pounds in less than a year from stress, pain, and silence.
But my body knew.
My soul knew.
And finally, I listened.
I had been love-bombed, isolated, and spiritually manipulated for years. What started as sweet Bible verses and promises turned into emotional control and a lonely house that no longer felt like home — even though I owned it.
He used God’s name to guilt me.
He quoted Scripture to silence me.
He served me separation papers while I was in a shelter, on my birthday.
But that’s not where my story ends.
📖 What God Showed Me in the Middle of My Breaking:
“I have called you by name. You are Mine.” – Isaiah 43:1
That verse carried me when I couldn’t carry myself.
God reminded me that He never wanted me controlled, guilted, or emotionally destroyed.
That’s not submission. That’s not love.
That’s abuse dressed in religion.
🛑 Why I Stayed Silent — And Why I’m Not Anymore
For two years, I stayed silent.
Out of fear. Out of confusion. Out of trauma.
But silence is a strategy the enemy uses to keep women stuck in shame.
No more.
God has healed me enough to speak.
Now it’s my turn to tell the truth so that other women can find theirs.
💬 Reflection Questions:
- Have you silenced yourself to avoid someone else’s reaction?
🙏 Prayer:
God, I don’t want to stay in survival mode.
Speak louder than my shame.
Hold me in my healing.
Help me walk away from what’s killing me and toward what restores me.
You’re not too broken.
You’re not too late.
You’re not alone.
If I walked away, you can too.
